The so-called biologically active food additives (BAA) can be harmful to health and even provoke the development of a number of diseases leading to disability.
A group of scientists from Harvard University analyzed the statistics of side effects as a result of taking dietary BAA for over 11 years from the beginning of 2004 to April 2015. The results were unexpected: as it turned out, in almost 40% of cases such drugs caused severe consequences for the human body.
According to experts, the problem is that many food additives contain chemicals that cause a number of disorders and problems. Some of these ingredients are even banned because of their proven danger. Thus, experts noted their are consisted of pesticides, heavy metals and similar substances.
They also contain substances that are part of the composition of certain drugs.
