Craft beer can be good for your health, specialists say

Craft beer can be good for your health, said a study by the University of Nebraska (US) found that beers in which yeast is added after bottling contains up to 50 million probiotic bacteria that improve bowel function, strengthen the immune system and promote a calm to sleep, 7News reported.

Mass-produced varieties of beer lack these benefits, as they are pasteurized and filtered.

"In high concentrations, alcohol is bad for the gut," Netherlands-based Professor Eric Claassen said. "But, if you drink just one of these beers every day it would be very good for you."
