New coronavirus death toll reaches 2,760

The number of deaths due to the new coronavirus has reached 2,760 worldwide.

A total of 95 cases of the COVID-19 infection have been reported, and 16 patients have died in Iran.

According to, the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus worldwide has reached 80,994. The vast majority of them are in China (more than 78,000). There are also 1,146 patients in South Korea, 322 in Italy, 170 in Japan, 95 in Iran, 91 in Singapore, and 85 in Hong Kong. Thus, Iran is fifth in the world in the number of coronavirus infections and the second, in resultant deaths.

Italy and South Korea share third place in the number of deaths due to coronavirus, as 10 deaths, each, were recorded in both countries.

Worldwide, 30,065 patients have recovered from the new coronavirus.
